Pink Martini performs the popular song “Sway” from their sixth album “Get Happy” which released on September 24, 2013, under the band’s own label, Heinz Records. This is not the official video, but I liked it, especially the performance of the roller skater. And one of the best versions of the song (sung by Storm Large, guest singer of the band). Enjoy!
¿Quién será?
“Sway” is the English version of “¿Quién será?”, a 1953 mambo instrumental song by Mexican composers Luis Demetrio and Pablo Beltran Ruiz. English lyrics are by Norman Gimbel. Since then the song has been recorded and remixed by many artists.
Here the song is interpreted by Pablo Beltran Ruiz and his orchestra below. Taken from the album on vinyl named “Al Sur de la Frontera” (South of the border).
The song made popular in English by the American singer, actor, comedian, and film producer Dean Martin (June 7, 1917 – December 25, 1995). His recording reached number fifteen on the Billboard magazine best-seller chart and number six on the UK chart. Here is the Dean Martin version below:
